TO SHINE OR NOT TO SHINE?
THAT IS THE QUESTION!

The former question from our members out-numbered the latter 10 to 1, because most guys are looking for a high sheen, especially if their head is totally shaved. The shine attracts women like moths to a flame, and they want to treat your head like a magic lamp - rub it, and make their three wishes.

Dry, dull scalps are often the result of using harsh soaps or spending a lot of time in the sun without sunblock or sunscreen. If you have a dry scalp and you want to bring out the natural shine, Noxzema will heal damaged skin and promote the shine you are looking for.

For a temporary shine, we have been told by some of our members that a high sheen, women’s hair spray will work. There is also a product sold at baldheadshine.com that is supposed to make your pate shine

If your pate is too oily or shiny, your condition is most likely caused by one or more of the following: excess sebum production (plugging of the sebaceous glands,) hormonal irregularities bacteria or fluctuations occurring inside hair follicles. Daily use of Aloe vera oil can significantly reduce the amount of oil generated by the scalp. To dull your shine, temporary solutions can include the use of moist towlettes and talcum powder.

There are plenty of products and snake oil potions available on the web to address oily skin problems (see askjeeves.com), but you will be less out of pocket by trying Aloe vera oil for a few months to see if that solves your problem.
