I shaved my head two years ago and absolutley loved it. The problem is that I am now almost bald. To me there is a huge difference between a shiny head and a shaved head. Can you advise me are their any cosmetic solutions which can make me look shaved, not bald?

It is comforting to know that I am not alone by losing my hair in my early twenties. I am thankful for this site and finally manned up by shaving my head. For the last 5 years, I have hidden under hats as my hair thinned, feeling so inadequet and less than those with a full head of hair, with a low level of self worth. I have entered and exited different states of depression and denial, but I had enough. I have a body most men envy and good looks, so why should I have less to offer women or in general. I feel so liberated after shaving my head, no more shame, fear, or worthless feelings are found inside. I have toughened up and become stronger because of my experience, but it has taken some time, so to all those out there pondering the shaved head, take the time you need, but do it sooner than later when you come to the realization. Thanks.

I read some of the comments. I would like to share with you my experience. I am 24, started losing hair about 2-3 years ago. Also lost a 3 year relationship. One thing I can tell you, I come from Europe. Western society is very focused on looks. First of all, the heart and soul is what matters, second of all, bald is sexy no matter what others think. I met tons of girls who started talking with me JUST because I am bald. The only thing that annoys me is the fact that a lot of people try to pay a joke about my baldness. The joke itself means nothing, but the actual fact of it makes me sick. I feel confident as before going bald, once I buzzed off all the hair, I actually gained more confidence and I really do feel sexier. I also dislike people who say \"hair is no good\" or stuff like that. Those with hair should be proud of their hair-dos, we should be proud of our baldness, it is that simple, that\'s what it takes to be happy- JUST BE PLEASED WITH YOURSELF, with the way you are, the way God wants you to be. Good luck and a lot of confidence to those who lack it! P.S. Take care of your skull- do not let it burn in summer sun!

I am 19 now and have been losing my hair since I graduated high school two years ago. I knew I was balding when it started but figured it would be a while before anything really noticable came to pass. Well, I was wrong, and I have been rapidly thinning. At the beginning of this year I got really down about it and thought of looking into propecia or something like that, but decided that in the long run I would be more comfortable knowing that I look the way I do without relying on some drug. I recently buzzed it down to a half inch and I think it looks pretty solid these days, just makes me look older. I am worried about the day that I will need to shave it all off though, as I have kind of a big head and a baby face(a woman asked me if I was 16 right before I shaved it). Your website is really awesome though and I just wanted to let you know that it has helped me to cope with losing my hair. I am sure you will be hearing from me again in a couple of years when it is time to break out the real razor.

Well it started back in high school. I was a freshman with a receding hair line at a young age. I looked older than what I was and could not get a date for homecoming. I asked the guys on the football team for some advice and they came at me with a straight edge razor. 1 hour later my head was slicker than an ice cube. They shaved my head until there was no more, no nicks, no cuts. I am 31 years of age now and have been bald ever since. Bald is great and bald is good. I am happy to be bald and will never grow my hair..... thank you for this great web site. You guys rock.

I have had a receeding hairline for years. I have always been one to think that being bald was not for me...until recently. I went in for a haircut, and it was totally botched. I decided it was time to stop fighting and start living. I shaved my head and have not regretted it. My wife even likes it even though in the past she has told me not to shave it! I am glad I finally took the chance. My co-workers like the new look, my kids like it, my wife likes it...and most importantly...I like it.

First, thank you. You guys are brave for putting up this website, seriously. Keep helping people realize how unnecessary hair is.
I am only nineteen, and my hair is going quick. But, you guys give me the courage to say \"forget hair\" and to live up the clean headed look. I have found there are many positives to losing your hair: you save money on expensive shampoo, you can basically walk right into a rock concert, the wind has nothing to mess with, and if anyone challenges you to a swim race (more common than you would think) you instantly have seconds shaved off your time.
Seeing men who are proud to have lost their hair gives me a boost to flaunt my clean shaved head. My hope is that I will be just as proud.
If you do not lose your hair, you are a square.

Hi, I am bald because I have alopecia. When my hair first started to fall out I was concerned. I had always had thick strong hair and I was one of those people that friends would say “at least you will never have to worry about going bald”. How wrong they were.
I started with alopecia last summer. After having alopecia for several months I decided to shave it all off early in December. At this point I had lost about 40% of my hair in patches. It was the best thing I could have done. It was so liberating. I now shave my head every day and I love being bald. It is a great image. Even though my hair is now growing back I am going to keep on shaving it.
Bald is great.

I saw an ad on TV for a hairpiece - they called it a \'total hair system\' and never mentioned wig, toupee etc. I did it as an experiment (I am a freelance worker so no co-workers to freak out).
It was truly horrible, itchy and nasty to wear - although it looked great. (It was very expensive!). My wife preferred the bald me anyway, and my son was not very keen -but as I said, it was an experiment at age 45; I have classic \'ref\' look, or super mario minus the mustache. After one year I took it off and now only wear it for a laugh, i.e. 5 minutes!
Apparently I walked taller when I was wearing it, and women certainly notice you again on the tube etc, and I looked 10 years younger, BUT they feel really nasty. The companies that sell them, even the expensive ones, never let you wear one as a trial - and that gives the game away a bit.
I introduced my \'hair system\' to my mates by watching a soccer game in the pub with a cap on, at half time I went to the mens room, and came back with the hair - which was very amusing for everyone.
So I suppose we were all \'in on it\' and so none of that hidden shame thing. I discussed it with mrs, friends etc before I did it. They thought just another wheeze I suppose.
So if anyone is tempted - ask the company to let you try one on for a day - but 10 minutes would be enough. BEFORE any deposit etc.
Good luck with great site!

Hello I am from a small charming village in England but even with an ocean between us I still can not help but admire your fine work. I would love for one of you to contact me at any stage. I was recently dumped by gorgeous wife Jane because I went bald. I felt like I had nothing to live for but finding your website has given me the motivation to progress with my life. Plus it can be sexy as well, so fellas do not feel sad! It is good to know I am not the only one & I hope some day Jane will join us & the world will be as one.
